tanuki_greenWhat started off looking like a wonderful 3 day weekend turned into many days of pain (and some misery). Friday night we spent 10 innings at the local AAA baseball game. By the time we left, I noticed that my back was a little stiff. When I woke up Saturday morning, my lower back was stiff AND sore. It was tolerable, but not good. Sunday it was a little worse for wear than Saturday. Monday morning when I tried to get out of bed, I almost couldn't stand. There was screaming and many concerned animals huddled around me asking if I was okay, licking my face and generally not helping. I dragged myself to urgent care. The doctor there poked my back a couple of times and decreed that I had a severe back strain. He then gave me a prescription for Vicodin, a prescription for Flexoril and a note for work saying I needed a couple of days rest.
Tuesday and Wednesday are both a bit of a fog for me. I don't remember them very well. I was in and out of sleep most of both days. I know there was Netflix watching and other such things, and if I IM'd you and was only barely understandable, I do apologize now. For today, I am at work. I'm still in pain - not as much as before - and I am not drugged. I just need to make it through the next couple of days. Then I can rest again. This has put a HUGE crimp in my SoFoBoMo plans... Oh well... Life happens.
