I have an e-mail I'm afraid to open, but I don't think I should delete either.

It's sitting in my GMail spam box.

The e-mail is from Princess Diana. Yes, THAT Princess Diana.

The subject line indicates that she urgently needs my help.

So, I'm afraid to open this because, well, she's dead and what if this is like some sort of e-mail version of that Ringu video tape? But on the other hand, she needs my help. I don't know if anyone else can help her or if this was targetted at me and I'm the only person capable of assisting. I'm still wrestling with what I should be doing here. This is a very tricky situation I am in here. What kind of Karma will I have if I don't help? What kind of horrors will befall me if I open this?

After three months of trying to blog about games and such, I found that I really enjoyed writing about my past where video games were involved, but I just didn't enjoy writing about the games themselves. That, and I only seemed to be re-posting information other people has already posted without adding much (if anything) to the story.

So, I've decided to re-boot my website (http://www.pokingbadgers.com) yet again. I've decided that I'm going to be using the web site for creative writing and compiling the writing I've done in the past.

So, in setting the page up, I went back through all six years of my LJ looking for any of my creative writing I'd posted there. It was really interesting, going through my past like that. I found some very warm memories and some memories that still hurt. And I found some interesting writing, some I remember writing and some I don't.

So, if you're interested in seeing what my brain has come up with over the past few years, head on over to my other site. I hope you enjoy what you see over there.

And while you're doing that, I think I'm going to try to process some of the stuff I've gone over.

Hey - does anyone know if the Rock Band guitar controllers for the XBox 360 will work on the PC for Guitar Hero?

[livejournal.com profile] copperwise: I'm all sick - it's going to be worst Christmas ever.

Me: Well... I think traveling through the desert while pregnant, looking for some place to have your baby, being turned away by all the hotels and inns and being shoved off to the stable to spew your child would rank up there as the worst Christmas ever.

Okay - so one of the things I forgot to say last night (because it really is not easy to make a long post on an iPhone) is that the doctor said that soaking my finger in salt water would be a very important thing to ensure there would be no serious infection. So [livejournal.com profile] copperwise very kindly made me a cup of hot salt water to soak my finger in. I'm not sure, exactly, when I realized I'd be putting my finger, with OPEN WOUNDS, into salt water, but I suspect it was somewhere right after I did, and then exclaimed, "OH! HOLY $#!*". After a while it stopped hurting all that much though.

Today, it is feeling much better. I have feeling in the tip of my finger again, which I consider to be a very good sign that we won't have to cut it off or anything. And, as I'm actually quite fond of that finger, well - all of them really, this gives me a happy.

I'm headed northward for the weekend, and will be leaving right after work. I'm currently hoping that I manage to make it to my destination, [livejournal.com profile] housecerulia, before the weather gets too nasty and the traffic gets even worse. Being from the Pacific Northwest, I am very familiar with the fact that people around these parts don't seem to know how to drive in snow and ice conditions around here. I very much have confidence in my abilities to drive in such adverse conditions, but I do worry about those around me who do not have such abilities.

But, all in all, I'm very much looking forward to this weekend with [livejournal.com profile] libraryraven.

So, I'm temporarily without a computer while[livejournal.com profile] copperwise is using mine while 2 of our other laptops are out for repair.

On Monday, I managed to get a sliver caught under my right index fingernail. I thought I'd gotten it all out. My finger was sore for the last couple of days, but today the tip of myfinger was numb.

So I go in to the doctor and she jabs me in the finger with a local anesthetic saying that the finger is the worst place to get a shot because of all the nerve endings. You know what? She's right.

Then she takes out a surgical box knife and cuts into my finger. At one point she says, "Wow, there's more pus in here than I originally thought." She then pulls more sliver out, cutting and digging with that box knife.

When she's done, she tells me that it's time for a Tetnus shot.

What a he'll of a week. At least it will end on a good note.
