Yes I know. I haven't posted for a while and a lot has been going on. I'm hoping this will be the first of more frequent posting.
OryCon was a whole lot of fun. I am extremely happy with all the pictures I took as are a lot of other people. I've even had a couple of peole ask if I'm a professional. While not yet, I think I'm getting to the point of being a bit more than a hobbyist.
I've been thinking about it for a while now and am really wondering what might be the next logical step. I was thinking about some classes at the local college specifically about digital photography and Photoshop for digital photography. I could always use more skills.
I think I could use more experience with posed photography too. I've tentatively scheduled a photo shoot for this summer and have some ideas, but could really use some suggestions.
This is mostly me just thinking out loud, but comments are most certainly welcome.

Date: 2008-12-05 12:10 am (UTC)Next time I see you we should talk and I will let you play a little with my camera if you want. I plan on doing some hiking and landscape shoots this year, outdoor/nature is my forte even though I have done portraits, weddings and concerts. You have a good eye which is the key to being a good photographer and you can't learn that in school.

Date: 2008-12-05 12:24 am (UTC)I've got a photographer here in Portland that I'm sure if I asked nicely, she'd let me in on a few shoots, but she's in Africa now, so I'll have to wait until she gets home.
I'd love to see your camera some time.
And thank you for the compliment. :D I'm just getting really excited about the photography stuff. I really like how my recent pictures have been coming out, and then for K to have used some of my Faerieworlds photos in the program for OryCon made me so tickled.
