The Gift of Creativity
Jan. 4th, 2012 10:18 amFor Christmas, a wonderful group of people went in together on a present for me. They got me a Canon EOS Rebel T2i with lens. For all who chipped in on this, I love you dearly. Thank you. And I will thank you profusely in person as well. I promise. You've done something wonderful.
The camera in and of itself is an amazing gift. But I'm realizing that the real gift is the creative spark that came along with it. I have ideas for photos rolling around in my head. This picture is a perfect example of that.
Last night, I took Mojo out for his nightly walk, very close to my normal bed time and looked up and saw the moon being all moon-like in the sky. And then I realized I hadn't taken any pictures yesterday at all and needed to fix that. I got the tripod out and snapped a few quick* shots.
Wanting to see what I came up with, I put them on the laptop and immediately started processing. I couldn't stop myself. I found myself finishing up around 12:30am this morning. And to be honest, I don't feel any worse the wear for it.
I couldn't be any more happy with how those shots came out. And this particular shot has only put fuel on the fire of ideas for more.
